Don't Even Consider It

Moral and ethical dilemmas are more easily addressed when morality is resolved in advance. You cannot be overcome by a temptation you have already considered and rejected.

Proverb 23 instructs us to, "Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life." Then it goes on to say, "Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established."

After a few drinks, a famous British historical figure is reputed to have approached a royal baroness and asked if she would be open to a sexual encounter with a total stranger provided she received in excess of a million dollars cash, and no one would ever find out about her rendezvous. She considered for a moment and coyly replied, "Perhaps."

Brashly, he offered her two hundred dollars to follow him to his chamber, to which she responded harshly, "I'm not that sort of woman."

"We've established what sort of woman you are madam," he replied with a grin. "I'm simply negotiating for a good price."

Resolve to "walk with the Lord", so your path will be established when you are confronted with foolish encounters that could ensnare and embarrass you.
